🧠 Suggested Activities: Practice Activities for Home

🔢 1. Count Objects (e.g., pens, apples) in Swedish

Instructions:

Gather real or classroom items (like pencils, apples, blocks).
Count aloud in Swedish while pointing.

Example:

Hold up 3 apples and say:
“En, tvÃ¥, tre äpplen.” (One, two, three apples)

Ask the learner:
“Hur mÃ¥nga pennor ser du?” (How many pens do you see?)

🗣️ Repeat daily using different everyday items to reinforce numbers 1–20.

🎲 2. Bingo with Numbers in Swedish

Setup:

Create bingo cards with numbers 1–20 in random order.
Use Swedish number words when calling them out (e.g., “fjorton” = 14).

Gameplay:

Call out:
“Nummer sjutton!” (Number seventeen)

Learners find and mark 17 if it's on their card.
First to get 3 in a row shouts: “Bingo!”

🧠 Bonus variation: Instead of calling numbers directly, describe them (e.g., “Ett mer än sexton” → 17).

3. Listening: "Say the Number, I Point to It"

Instructions:

Lay out number cards (1–10 or 1–20 or 20-30 so on).
Say a number in Swedish, and the learner must point to it.

Example:

You say: “Nio”
Learner points to 9
You can reverse roles for added practice.

🎯 Tip: Increase speed or include tricky numbers (like sju and tjugo) for listening challenge.
